Compliance with notices clauses in contracts is vital. This session will look at recent case law around how the parties to a contract communicate and what contract clauses are relevant. Both JCT and NEC contracts will be reviewed along with some bespoke amendments currently being used by main contractors which could significantly impact on your bottom line. Issues to be covered include the validity of emails, document management systems, condition precedent clauses. The session will conclude with some advice on communications for subcontractors when writing to main contractors.
