Offering significant amount of commercial office space, the Forbury Place development is ideally located in Reading town centre, within a short distance of Reading Train Station, providing direct transport links into London and throughout the UK.
Forbury Place has been designed and constructed with sustainability as a key focus. The development has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating; assisted by the specification and use of building materials, including glazing, that limits the overall CO2 emissions.
The development features large areas of glazing. The use of Saint-Gobain Glass’ Cool-lite® SKN 165 within the façade enables a high level of daylighting to be achieved, as the solar control properties of the coated glass reduces the solar gain that would otherwise lead to overheating in such a highly glazed façade.
Being so close to railway links has its advantages, however, noise can be an issue. The use of Saint-Gobain Glass’ Stadip Silence within the glazing configuration helps reduce unwanted external to internal noise transmission, creating a more comfortable and productive space.
