They now have the UK premium powder coating paint line, installed with hybrid technology to run on electricity or gas, providing a step change in sustainability and adding surface finishing to their capability. They have a strong sustainability commitment and a plan that is being delivered – not just talked about – to achieve net zero carbon as a business by 2035. Investments in productivity, hybrid energy technology and solar panels make this commitment a reality, with Sherwood already being net zero in terms of energy consumption. They are now a net exporter of renewable energy to the national grid.
