The award-winning St David’s Building at Huddersfield Grammar School is a highly functional, contemporary structure formed of modern stone, wooden cladding and glass.
The £4 million project won the Huddersfield Civic Society Design Award for Best New Development and Jack Aluminium’s low U-value 100mm reinforced aluminium curtain walling was used by MBE Glazing for the project.
Popsie Singh, Managing Director at MBE Glazing said: “The combination of aluminium and PVCu pressure plates enhances the thermal performance of the complete wall to achieve low U-values, which makes it ideal for low rise applications in schools.”
