As part of a large-scale refurbishment project of Newport’s St. Joseph’s private hospital our trade customer Crest Glazing Solutions Ltd were contracted by Interserve/Tilbury Douglas to install a new front entrance porch enclosure.
The brief was to create an enclosed area that creates an area that visitors can safely sanitise before entering the hospital itself. The designs submitted by Crest involved utilising the Kestrel Aluminium shopfront system’s auto-sliding doors, to be protected by single glazed safety screens.
Following site visits with our customer to ensure the smooth running of the order when live the door sets were constructed to plan along with various pressings to achieve a finished reveal to the outer area. Internally the doors were wired with automatic opening gearing operated by hand sensors to facilitate the easy access and exit to and from the hospital.
The whole project was completed in the agreed timeframe, with site deliveries as required to allow for the smooth progress of the installation.
As a manufacturer we pride ourselves on working closely with our customers whatever the size or nature of the project to ensure we deliver right first time on time!
