Single construction regulator prospectus – GOV.UK
We are keen to encourage as many manufacturers and specialist contractors as possible in the fenestration industry to respond to this consultation, which will have a lasting impact on our sector. This prospectus sets out government’s plans for regulatory reform and the development of a single construction regulator. It provides a strategic case for reforming the regulatory system for the built environment and sets out the potential role for the new regulator within it. This prospectus also provides proposals for future areas of focus for a reformed regulatory system.
The deadline for responses is 20 March 2026 @ 11:59pm.
We have prepared a first draft of our response (see link below), and we need members’ feedback to fully represent your views.
We are particularly interested in any views concerning questions 6 & 8:
6. Have you experienced any challenges with providing information via government digital services when complying with current regulatory requirements across products, professions and buildings?
8. What digital tools and platforms do you find most effective for ensuring you meet regulatory compliance and why?
In view of the deadline, please can you respond to CAB by noon of 18 March 2026 (please email: justin.furness@c-a-b.org.uk). We will then prepare our final draft and post it here by 19 March 2026, which will allow some time for members to submit their own responses. You can start the online process and save your progress to come back later – there are 17 questions. But our apologies for the short notice!
