Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems, with their approved fabricator Continental Installations;
completed part of a £42 million student accommodation redevelopment contract to design and build 726 student bedrooms, replacing the existing 50 year old blocks that were deemed uneconomic to refurbish.
Comar supplied curtain walling and window vents to a 21 storey tower block and 3 lower rise blocks as part of the redevelopment for the University of Birmingham. Students living in the 21 storey tower will benefit from views across the Vale area and a Grade 11 listed historic park. The 3 lower rise blocks are designed to sit at an angle to maximise lower level views.
