The Birches

Architectural Windows and Glazing has recently used Jack Aluminium Systems’ PAS24 thermal TD68 Jack Door for 6 schools including The Birches in West Didsbury.
The Jack Door met the high specification of the contractors and the local authorities, with its superb energy efficiency, excellent safety features and quick turnaround times with the added benefit of being Secured by Design.
“The specialist school construction company we worked with on these projects also liked the curved finger guard design feature to prevent fingers trapping in the door and the thermally broken threshold which can achieve a 1.7 U-value. I don’t know of any other double door on the market that can do all of this” said David Leeming, Director at Architectural Windows and Glazing.
