The Garden Inn Hotel at Doncaster Racecourse is the latest project is Senior’s latest project for the Hilton global hotel chain.
Designed by KKA Architecture, the new hotel has been positioned to give breath-taking views of the historic racecourse via Senior’s aluminium fenestration package, including slimline curtain walling, thermally efficient windows and robust commercial doors.
This 4-star luxury hotel now offers 154 bedrooms together with an award-winning hotel restaurant, fitness centre and a 24-hour business centre.
The extensive use of Senior’s Slim Profile SF52 Aluminium Curtain Wall System together with SPW600 Aluminium Window inserts, helps to create a bright and welcoming interior and provides various vantage points from which to watch the sporting action. Senior’s High Performance SPW501 Aluminium Doors have been installed to provide access to private balconies which overlook the racecourse, with Automatic SD Aluminium Commercial Doors providing safe and secure access to the main entrance and reception areas.
The use of a local supply chain (both Senior and Danum Windows are based in South Yorkshire) helped reduce the financial and environmental cost of the build and contributed to a timely delivery.
Other hotel contracts successfully completed for Hilton include the Hilton Garden Inn at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground.
