FURTHER ENHANCEMENTS FOR ALUK’S POPULAR HERITAGE SYSTEM

AluK’s popular Heritage system has had some significant upgrades – including full PAS24 2022 +A1: 2024 accreditation of a Heritage single door fitted with a new lift-lever lock and cylinder mechanism.

This gives buyers the option of choosing the system to create a statement front or rear entrance door and gives AluK customers an exciting new up-selling opportunity.

Russell Yates, AluK’s Managing Director commented: “Fully accredited to the very latest version of PAS24, this Heritage door can now be installed in new builds and extensions as well as in refurbishment projects.

“We’re seeing a definite shift in the retail market towards aluminium front doors, and this means now we have another option for our customers to add to their product portfolios. We already have PAS24 accreditation on our contemporary 58BD and 77ID entrance door systems and now we have matched that on our traditional, steel replacement Heritage door system as well.”

The smooth, secure lift-lever lock mechanism is fully compatible with the period-inspired handles on the AluK Heritage door which are available in matt black, antique bronze, heritage black and heritage grey.

As well as the PAS24 upgrade, AluK has also added a new stepped edge transom detail to its modern classic Heritage system, creating an elevated aesthetic which is even closer to the original look of steel windows and doors. The new transom can be used across doors and fixed lights as part of a fully suited glazed wall and is quick and easy to fit using standard fixings.

Russell added: “Our Heritage window system has always been popular but when we added the suited Heritage door at the end of 2024, we saw a real spike in sales as customers tapped into profitable new business streams supplying the whole glazing package in one coherent system. Our fabricators like the fact that there are shared profiles, beads and ancillaries across the range and it is easy to manufacture and easy to install.

“They are reporting success with our Heritage products in both the steel replacement market and in new builds and refurbishments where buyers want to achieve the on-trend industrial aesthetic, and these two significant enhancements are designed to help them target even more of this type of work.”
