Business Forum from 4.00pm

Our Forum, which is free to our members to attend, takes place in the John James Lecture Theatre, Aerospace Bristol, Hayes Way, Patchway, Bristol BS34 5BZ and will include updates on CAB’s activities as well as topical business presentations. Further information to follow.

Speakers

  • Martin Troughton – A highly respected figure in the marketing industry, who has over 25 years’ marketing experience, with a hat trick of roles at home improvement companies Everest, Anglian and Safestyle UK will talk through his experiences and future ideas for marketing, operations, strategy and company development.
  • Kevin Jones – GGF Senior Technical Officer – will be talking through the recent updates to Approved Document L and the implications for fabricators and installers. He will look to the near future at what DLUHC have instore for the next round of uplifts as they head towards the 2025 deadline for the Future Homes and Future Buildings Standards. We (CAB) will be working with Kevin and DLUHC to ensure aluminium products are on this journey and are able to benefit from the new standards.
  • Phil Atkinson of BTS Facades & Fabrications and Henry Waite of Blue Marble – will be discussing the fact that BTS are making their products and business more sustainable. They are on a mission to achieve ‘Net Zero’ by 2030. They will discuss how they started on their journey, the barriers, mistakes and future work needed to lower their business carbon footprint. 

Drinks Reception and Dinner

Following the Forum, our drinks reception will take place on the Concorde Gallery Balcony at Aerospace Bristol followed by dinner in the Concorde Gallery, Aerospace Bristol. 

The format for the afternoon/evening is as follows: –

3.30 pm            Coaches depart DoubleTree by Hilton City Centre Hotel

4.00 pm            Registration & tea/coffee in John James Lecture Theatre

5.00 pm            Business Forum in John James Lecture Theatre – Session 1

6.10 pm            Refreshment break

6.25 pm            Business Forum in John James Lecture Theatre – Session 2

7.15 pm            Drinks Reception

8.00 pm            Dinner in Concorde Gallery

11.00 pm          Depart Aerospace Bristol

Dinner is charged at £180 + VAT (£36) per person = £216
Tables of 10 are discounted at £1,700 + VAT (£340) = £2,040

ACCOMMODATION

An allocation of rooms has been reserved at our main hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton City Centre, Redcliffe Way, Bristol, BS1 6NJ at a B & B rate of £120.00 including VAT. The hotel (with on-site parking) is approximately a 20 minute drive from Aerospace Bristol. Early booking is strongly recommended as we are unable to guarantee our allocation beyond 1st February 2023.
