We are delighted to announce details of our 30th AGM, Dinner, Golf and Activities day.
We will be returning to Carden Park Hotel, near Chester to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. The hotel, which is located in a beautiful 900-acre site, is easily accessible from the M6, M56 and M53. Its facilities include an outstanding spa, with private garden, hot tubs and outdoor pools.
The AGM & Annual dinner is the highlight of the CAB calendar and always proves to be a popular event. In our celebratory 30th year we expect demand to be high and we would encourage you to book early to secure your places for golf, activities, dinner and bedrooms.
CAB will be providing golf shirts for all those taking part in our golf competition, which this year will carry the CAB Anniversary logo along with that of our chosen charity, CRASH.
Our after-dinner entertainment will include, back by popular demand, Ian Stone.
Ian is known to CAB having entertained us and been well received at a previous event. He is a stand-up comedian, broadcaster and writer notable for appearing as a guest on shows such as the comedy panel show Mock the Week.
Finally, a musical extravaganza awaits at the end of the evening with the rock/pop band The Capricorns taking the stage. The 8-piece London based band continue to tour the country to rave reviews.

From 8.30am Golf registration & refreshments in the Clubhouse
9.30am Golf tee-offs from 1st & 10th holes
11.00am Activities – Air Rifles and Archery
6.00pm Drinks reception in the Carden Suite Bar
6.15pm CAB 30th AGM in Clutton Suite
7.45pm Dinner in the Clutton Suite (Dress Code – Black Tie)
Golf
The Golf tournament will be held on the 6,824 yard Cheshire Championship course. This mature and scenic heathland course offers a test for all levels of player and the recently refurbished clubhouse gives stunning views over the course and, in particular, the 18th green. The cost is £85 + VAT which includes coffee and a bacon roll before tee-off and halfway house refreshments.
Please note, The Cheshire plays at around 41/2 hours and to ensure sufficient time for all, we will again have a two Tee start, with tee-offs from both the 1st & 10th holes between 9.30am and 11.30am.
Activities
We have decided to bring the activities back this year andare pleased to offer Air Rifle shooting and Archery. Try your hand at both during the experience. Please bear in mind that numbers are limited so please book early. The activities will take place in the grounds of Carden Park, meeting at the events station at 11am. The cost for this is £42 + VAT.
Drinks Reception and AGM
The drinks reception commences at 6.00pm in the Carden Suite bar, which is located at the rear of the hotel. The AGM starts at 6.15pm in the Clutton Suite. We would urge you to come along and have your say in the running of your Trade Association.
Dinner
Dinner includes a charity raffle and the presentation of golf prizes by the CAB President followed by our After Dinner entertainment. The cost is £195 + VAT for individual tickets and £1,950 + VAT per table of 10.
Accommodation
We have been fortunate to secure all 198 bedrooms in the hotel for the evening of 20th June along with a small allocation on the 19th June. Room rates are £165 inclusive per room for single occupancy and £175 inclusive for double occupancy. In recent years, rooms have been booked within a matter of weeks and the same high demand is expected this year. We would therefore urge you to book through us as soon as possible to secure your accommodation and would draw your attention to the cancellation policy.Room accounts should be settled directly with the hotel on departure.
